Frequently asked questions
How does the free trial work? +
You get full access to Sqoura on your chosen plan for the length of the trial. We take your payment details up front so your account continues seamlessly when the trial ends — cancel any time before then and you won't be charged.
Can I switch plans later? +
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you're charged the prorated difference immediately. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Is the subscription the same thing as the entry fees? +
No — they are two separate things. The subscription is what your organisation pays Sqoura for the platform. Entry fees are what competitors pay to enter your tournament; we collect those in LKR on your behalf and settle them to you after the event. Your subscription price does not change with how many entries you take.
What payment methods can competitors use to pay entry fees? +
Entry fees are charged in Sri Lankan Rupees through PayHere, and competitors can pay by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card, by online bank transfer, or by the local wallet options PayHere supports.
When do we receive the entry fees you collect? +
After the event concludes and the refund window has closed, we settle the collected entry fees to your organisation in a single payout, with a full reconciliation of every entry and refund.
How are refunds handled? +
Entries withdrawn 14 or more days before competition are refunded in full, and cancelled events are refunded automatically. The full details are in our refund policy.
What does "unlimited tournaments" mean? +
There is no cap on the number of competitions you can create or run. Pricing is per organisation, not per event.
Do you offer discounts for non-profits or national federations? +
Yes. Contact our sales team and we'll work out the right arrangement for your organisation.
